Day 1758- 4 years, 9 months, and 24 days! Its Been a Long Time!

October was filled with many celebrations of life. My mother, daughter, and myself all have birthdays in a 12 day span. My mother and I being exactly 1 week apart. That means overload with the deliciousness of three birthday cakes! I have been so busy that I have not had time to post any pictures but then I remembered how I at one time was literally scouring the internet looking for someone who looked like me and had Sisterlocks and just needing that reasurance. So I said let me get it together. My Sisterlocks and I have been all over the place enjoying the pleasantries of life with friends and family. I celebrated my birthday with my friends and then turned around and celebrated another birthday with the same friends. Just exhilarating. I am grateful for this place where I can wholeheartedly enjoy every sound, smell, touch, visual while being still or not. I truly had an extraordinary month celebrating not just my birthday but my life with the family and friends I love. The length of a friendship does not determine its strength. My friends and I do not share high school stories but we do share life experiences and these great ladies are the epitome of loyalty. Thank you for the birthday wishes and thank you for the love.

Day 1698!- 4 years, 7 months, & 25 days!

I actually have nothing poetic or snazzy to say. Lol First time for everything. Wait, these pics are from the wonderful Labor Day I had with my girls. We rented a houseboat in Lake Mead and it was a first for all of us! Fun is an understatement. We had no clue that it was synonymous to camping. Lol. Had I known, I probably would have passed. However, these pictures do not depict a third of the fun we had. Bonding, fake cooking, sunbathing, boating, and just being with one another. Actually, in 3 days I will be celebrating another year of life. These pictures just highlight my life and my Sisterlocks as they join me on this adventure of Chapter 42.

Day 1655- 4 years, 6 months, and 13 days! 1st day of my 20th year!

Vacation time is over! Back to schedules, routines, bedtimes, and forced self-care. :) No more cut off shorts, flip flops, make up -less faces, sunbathing, swimming, or sleeping until whenever! Today marks the first day of my 20th year as an educator. I have been in and out of the class, all around the county, and back again. My first day is still like that of a student. I cannot sleep, already have my outfit out, and cannot wait to see my friends. Happy 1st day to all the babies and educators. May your year be filled with many blessings! Oh, and these are the last of my summer pictures I had floating around. 184 non-stop days! Let's go!

Day 1628- 4 years, 5 months, and 17 days locked! Summertime!

Hello! Although its summer, I have been so busy...just with life. Vacays, excursions, and celebrations. Good things, of course. I should not have so many pictures that have not been posted. :) Happy Summer to All! I have finally gotten to the point that I can wear my hair straight! This has been the one style I envisioned and have craved since I have been locked. Of course, I eventually get tired of that and create a braid out. Super simple. I typically braid it after being towel dried for about an hour. The braids do not have to be neat or uniform. I leave them overnight. If I am trying to be fancy, I will knot the ends so that I can have some type of curl. This produces great volume and works well if you plan to be in humidity for any period of time. It also produces texture if you want to rock a messy bun you can. Buns are my go to in this weather. Actually, they are my go to in any weather. The braid out can easily last for two weeks because the pattern metamorphoses into different styles daily. I cannot usually go that long without washing my hair but I always try. I only use water when styling. I do not use any other products ever. Happy Sisterlocking!

You two are so predictable so I know you will see this. Lol. Who would have thought? However, I am a woman so I know what we do. I mean the post was 17 pics down. Thank you for viewing these last couple of posts so much that I have been offered to be paid for my blog. Very thorough I must say. Let's remember I was told you were "stalking" my page which is why I knew to post here. However, these posts did exactly what I wanted which is create a form of chaos in your life, like you attempted to do in mine. Lol. Do not interrupt my great life with your trash. Always remember you both contacted me about your issues and as always, I responded. Your dysfunction is not on my radar at all. Your problem not mine. Thank you for saying that you are on a natural hair journey and came across my page. Lol. Funny. Let's be clear I am only removing the post because this page is not about you and because I just want to. It is about my hair journey and I. I was on vacation and was computer less when I was texted me with your dysfunction which is why it was not posted sooner. I never planned on it littering my page longer than the 11 hours it took for you to notice...BUT do not threaten me at all. Those threats have been saved and will be reported if I have a single issue with you two. Not one time for anything. Let's be very clear. Maybe that has worked with others but I am not the one. That does nothing for me. It actually makes you look quite desperate. If you push me up against a wall, do not expect a fall back expect a comeback. Now for the record I am done with you two on my posts. Now on to those who are truly here for the journey and not for the bs. FYI ladies, never let a dude know you are stalking another woman's page, especially when you are going to sit right there and believe the bs. Trust he is running his mouth to her bc he is a liar and trying to save himself. Save your energy for self-care and making money!
