OMG! The questions I get. Well here are my answers. :)

Everyday someone will ask, "what are those?" Ok, that's completely understandable. Most times people will ask, "What if you wanna take them out?" or "Didn't you want to try braids first?" or "Your hair is so pretty straight."or "How long are you going to have them?"  Indicating that this is not pretty. Lol. I have had Sisterlocks before and took them down. I was not patient and I would definitely say not mature enough at the time. I wanted the instant lock look and I was not getting that. Different curl patterns respond differently to the lock process. The looser the curl, the longer the lock process. The tighter the curl, the shorter the lock process. However, the various transformations that your hair experiences during the process is unique and beautiful.

The most common question asked is why did I choose Sisterlocks? The picture to the right is my natural hair straightened and freshly shampooed. Yes, I had what people think is the perfect hair but it was time consuming and a job. I chose Sisterlocks because I wanted FREEDOM! Freedom from nightly scarves, rain, sweat, beaches, and all other forms of precipitation (If you know what I mean). I also wanted to detox from being a product junkie. Oh my, what freedom that has been! I chucked all those products in a bag and gave them to a student. Good riddance. Also, I know longer have to schedule my life activities around my hair. My hair is always done! Now I can still rock my natural hair but without all the product and maintenance.

Sisterlocks do not require oils, gel, or any other product. If you want to set your hair for a twist or braid out, good ole fashioned water will do. I now have my locks retightened every 4 weeks. As time goes on I may go every 5 to 6 weeks but for now this allows her to troubleshoot any problems I may be having. My ultimate goal is to take the retightening class so that I can maintain my locks myself giving me the ultimate freedom. However, you must have them at least 6 months before you can do that and I need to see where my hair is at that point. I enjoy my retightening sessions though and will miss them one day. My consultant is great and knowledgeable and her shampoos are to die for!

I have only been locked since February 2 and have had no regrets. My only regret is that I didn't get them sooner.
My husband loves them and is happy to not hear me whining about my hair daily escapades. I would definitely say that he is my biggest fan. :)

Sisterlocks are still so not new and unknown to many people. I usually get many of those questions too. Have you gotten the - can I touch them? Or is this your real hair? It's always a conversation starter. I love when you said - My hair is always done.

Lol. Yes! I definitely get, "Is this your real hair?" I am not good at styling so at times I'm thinking like if I bought this hair it had better be laid at all times. I haven't had so many people want to touch them. They always think they are braids.
